    Yamaha Vmax help

I've got an 06 250 hpdi. Went out and ran the boat about 1/2 mile never about about 3000.. Put the it in neutral and it died. It will fire but will not run, I noticed that my alarm is also not working now. I checked wiring connections and found nothing. Ran fine last week.

    Thanks for any help..

Check the plugs first then check your fuel. Many times if you have a fuel pres issues they will just keep starting then stall. Even if your horn isnt working you will still have limited RPMs if you over heat or run low on oil.

The king of Yamaha's on this forum is Ray Neudecker ,( Nathan Worthy also would take time to try and help but I have not heard from him in years anyone know where he went?)there is also a new kid on the forum (mcyama)-Martin- both have givin help in the past and both have(yamaha parts) and years of Yamaha experience . I would try and contact one of them and see if they can steer you in the correct direction. Joe R QUOTE=squirrely;1923215]I've got an 06 250 hpdi. try to verify that the yellow wire in the main harness is not broken or corroded. salty corrision will carry voltage however it will not carry amps. Check at the end of the line at ecu. Thanks Martin

I have heard these HPDI's like Seafoam. Keeps the plugs clean and filters clean too!
