Are the Pro Et,s Fixed yet?

Just wondering if anyone has heard if the pro et,s blade slinging days are over? I really want to try one of these props but not if they are still slinging blades. Everyone says there great untill they sling the darn blade. Thanks James

I always wanted to try one as well, but think with all the problems people are going to be a little shy to try one. The few pics I saw sure did some bad damage.

Do they run decent right out of the box, or do they need to be worked? (I'm guessing the latter)

I had a brand new (2 hours), lab finish and it cracked a blade 3/4 of the way across. Suprised it didnt come off.

Prior to that I had one for three years and didnt have a problem.

I had a 28 lab, never broke it. It is on a Talon now and it still hasn't broken.
Heard of a lot slinging blades though, nice driving prop.... real tall on pitch though, I ran negative slip............

Has anybody compared a Pro ET to a Tim Hackney SC4? I've never seen a Performance Props SC4 run on a boat, but his other stuff runs good.

Wondering about the alloys myself. I made 3 blades out of 4 blades numerous times. They really make a good design if the metalurgy would hold up.

I just bought a 32p Pro finish. Did a few test runs and it had a good hole shot and 98mph at 6000 rpm. Its on a 2004 Hydrostream Voyager w/ a 2010 300xs 1.75 Sport Master. I had tried several other props and this has been the best. Just hope it holds together. I will be holding out on getting it labed.

    ET's

Still seeing a lot of problems with all the mercury prop's, I have been welding cracks lately on prop's without much time on them, it sucks because i cut a lot of ET's but the props are a gamble.

Sam I got one of each drag-4 28p and pro-ET 28. Only got to run the et once last fall so I can't give some real numbers until this year. I do know the ET has less slip and holds better once jacked up. Comon' warm weather.
