Drag 4 on a STV Euro...
Has anyone had experience with a 28+pitch Drag 4 on a Euro or simlar hull. Looking for a good big end prop that also has good load carrying and decent accelleration.
Prop would be for Lake and river riding with some top end runs.
Thanks,

It will work fine, but the 3 blade would be faster on top. Call and talk with Billy. Nice folks to deal with and always willing to help.

You can have some taken of the blades with these props and still have a stout prop. They have very thick blades and run very nice even on an Allison. The 28 i have was worked for a SS and is a bit thinner and spools up very nice and runs a bit better top end numbers than my stock ones. There a great prop stock and lots of meat to work with to fine tune to your liking. Maybe ask Billy at Performance what he thinks about that. You cant go wrong with a 28 Drag4.One of the Top three props for me.Hears my worked 28.

I run a 28 lightning et most of the time on mine, great all arround prop I found.Have a 28 et 4 blade that works well with more people in the boat for carring loads. Picked up a drag 4 30p and will see how it does.

Mazco option
I and many other STV owners have found Mazco RE3 29s work extremely well in the applications you described with 260 or 200 power. I also enjoy running my Mazco RE4 28 for all the same reasons because it carrys loads even better. You would want to go bigger with torqueier motors like ProMaxes. I have found all REs are fast, very easy to drive; and carry the boat well.
I hope this helps.

Tried the drag4 30p this weekend. Couldn't really see what top end it had, water wouldn't coperate, Did notice compaired to the 28 et lightning at lower speeds (under 50-60) I had to use a little more positive trim. 70-85 trim was back to normal, handled good but backed down at 90 due to water conditions. Not as good as the 28 out of the hole but it carries the boat well.
