    not to git off subject, but ck this friends car----him, cracked pelvis, pass-walked i'd say their blessed. now after this station identification we can all return to itching.

    still at it. any input on transom and core material. im thinking composite for the transom(what kind, how thick?) and balsa for the core. vinylester resin.

    transom

    do ply transom, bs 1088 okoume or something in that family of wood. it will take a beating like no foam ever will. (here come the rocks at my head), also, won't crush like foam or coosa, either.

    same as factory, i have a brain cloud this second, but i think that was two pieces of 3/4. some people go a little thinner on a rebuild and beef the skins up a little more, this way the skins will be a little more resilient.

    No rocks at my end but regular standard marine grade ply can be found at just about any lumber yard where as the 1088 Okoume either has to be ordered or you just might have to travel for it or pay out the rear for shipping and handling .
