New fast? 4S OB Power & 250 Yamaha Video

I Was looking at the Yamaha promo videos on the Yamy site.

Can someone link me to the Holeshot Video?? I Went to the yamy website and saw every video but the in boat hole shot I saw on here recently.

Has anyone driven this motor on a anything but a loaded bass boat yet?

Will this motor push a Big Girl Ranger Z Commanche 75+?

The Specs show it does not turn as hard as a Suzi 250 SS

Curious on thoughts outside the marketing & prize winning fish folks.

So if a guy wants to buy a loaded Ranger Commanche and wants to go fast with a light load and only wants a 4 stroke what does he get???

    Suzi 250 SS
    Verado 300 or 350
    New Yamy 250
Or the Miami show mystery motor what ever that might be.

I have driven most big OB's on a variety of pad v bassboats but nothing yet has yet to impress like the 300 opti. The 250 E-TEC is close and quieter. The Verado is a beautiful piece but just doen't seem right on this type of boat.

Until Miami shows us different, I don't see a 4S OB in the game yet compared to a big EFI/DFI V6 2 stroke in 18-24Ft Performance V's or Cats.

Tell me I'm wrong. Constructive & Grown up comments and experiences only please.

    Thought I should mention,

If I was to get a big twin or triple OS fish I'd probably go Verado. Quiet, top of the line Power steering, plus the DTS is awesome. Gauges with more info than you'd ever need.

Love the E-TEC in the correct applcation. Great engine. Quiet, smooth, Shifts great, Great on fuel.

The Yamy seems to have a niche in the salt (Glad The V8 350 experiment is gone. What a horse) However, not yet as nice as the Verado set ups I've been in.

Buddy of mine has a Bullet with a 300 Opti. You can't help but be impressed with this great running 100+ setup. Nice idle, No smoke, No shake, great on fuel.

I have been doing the same equation, I think the Yammi because of light weight and gear box ratio , followed by the Suzuki ss love that warranty.Too many moving parts for a dinosaur like me with the Merc. Remembering hop up part for the Yammi and Suzuki are upon us .
