just get a damn turbine at that point. it'd be lighter and guzzle less gas. plus you'd have an afterburner

Sure about that fuel burn? I think you will be suprised how much the turbine engine burns.

It's Merc's design and build from what I know. Find yourself a all alum LS 6.0L, tune it all with EFILive and your done. Pretty simple and that 6-oh makes good power with a good tune.

that "old tech" pushrod engine is 200lbs lighter, gets better fuel mileage, is half the size, makes more power and has a much better torque curve, thats why. do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut, you're clueless.

I got to agree 120%. I think yesterday at this time 30 some odd cars just got done with 500 miles at over 8400RPM.

I know of a 69 C10 with a 99 5.3L, 4L80 and a big honkin turbo (15L On-Highway engine) that wastes a cammed, head'ed 6.0 GTO. Pretty impressive for old technology. Or perhaps my buddy with a 408" GTO with a Procharger. Making over 620HP at the ground.

These pushrod motors are MUCH more capable than you think.

and a 6.0 or 6.2L GM is 250lbs lighter, makes 400hp, is almost half the physical size, and gets better gas mileage than the "High tech" toyota v8

Just watched an Iron/alum 6.0L sell at the local junk yard for $750 with ECM. Truck motor with 100K on it. Pretty cheap investment really.

You want an all alum. overhead motor??? Merc just came out with a 1300HP diamond......
