    Bridgeport sleeves

I am neeeding to know a good supplier for a bridgeport sleeve. Do LA sleeve or advanced sleeve have the edges of the port angled to suit gas flow? or are they cut straight?

also, does anyone do an aluminium nikasil plated sleeve that i can put in?

    What is my best option?

    thank you

We stock both LA and Advance sleeves for Bridgeport engines. We have also have had Nikasil sleeves made for the same application. The steel sleeves are FAR less expensive. We also offer new Wiseco pistons machined for BP use.

does anyone have an ideas on advanced or LA sleeve? about the angle cut on the ports or do they machine it straight through with a 90* step in the top of the port?

no i mean the holes cut in the sleeve (finger ports and bost ports)are the top and bottom edge cut with a angle to aid gas flow or dose the gas hit a sharp edge as it flows through?

LA is straight cut. I always use Advanced. The are angle cut and the ports line up alot better then LA. Especially in the bridgeport. Basically less grinding you have to do after you install the sleeve. The last LA I used was about a month or 2 ago and after seeing how far it was off I took it out and put in an Advanced.

Try Steve Pope at Steve's Marine in Cromwell. He ran 2.4L engines on an F1 boat for a number of seasons (I assume you are talking about 2.4L bridgeport?). He may still even have a damaged block that you can cut the sleeves out of???
