Is your bottom notched ?
I've been running with a 2.4 Bridgeport carb, fav prop is a 22" chopper that was worked on by DAH, also have a 24" chopper untouched that is a little faster on top, but not very good out of the hole. I've been seeing speeds around 70-72 and the engine is due for rings. Also running a CLE, prev had a std case w/ Bob's cone on it which might have been just a little faster.
Getting rid of weight is a good thing, in addition to the rear seat, the wood floor is also overbuilt and you can save a bunch of weight there - I replaced mine when I had to replace my gas tank. I also went from a 70 gal tank to a 45 gal tank.
I'm hanging a 3.0 250 on mine this spring.

ITs actually a falcon the boat not an activator just that nobody has herd of them really so its easier to give example for the hull. no notch tho. if i were to guess i would say im a bit hevier than an activator too but not by much.
