    2002 300x

Need tech help.. anyone that can tell me what the TPI setting should be on my 2002 300X at idle and at WOT..?

also... is the reading volts or amps....?

would a battery with less than 1000 mca give me a faulty reading...I've got a 625mca cranking battery in the boat .....

    appreciate any help .....

I can only tell you what I have seen on yammi and honda tps readings. Base setting with throttle butterfly fully closed and idle speed screw backed off. 0.48 to 0.52. then at wot always less than 5.0 volts. Typically around 4.5 to 4.8 at wot. All readings are in dc volts. Yes I have seen batteries start an engine and then not allow it to run correctly. Although I dont think you are experiencing this. When it comes to purchasing a "quality battery" the most important number is the RC number or reserve capicity of the battery. That number tells you in minutes how long it could maintain it's amps, ouner perfect conditions. thanks martin
