That's awesome... sounds like they took alot of features from the 25-30hp and put them on 15HO's. Liquid do you have any spec's on these motors (C.I., weight, Etc)? Thanks for posting!

So you all know, Eric Olson FLW Butter Boat (land o lakes) was the brainchild of this project, its literally the 25/30 E-TEC De-tuned, so yes its bigger, more powerful and seems to be perfect for the applications. Some may say to heavy, but some are running 800lb 300s so whatever, but yes its the same as the 25/30 just tuned differently. Brannon Evinrude Country

    Very cool

Can only hope for a 15" tiller that weighs less than 80lbs...

    Not so fast

It is a detuned 25/30hp. The lightest weight 25hp 15 inch tiller is 146lbs. Even on a diet, it will still be above 130lbs.

I am all for competition and would love to see a new model 9.9hp/15hp Etec but this is not it. I would rather buy the 30hp Etech and a slap 15hp decals on it.

Bummer, I kind of thought that might be the case, I do hope the rumored 9.9/15 does eventually come out becasue it will be a cool motor.

Yes Racer you are correct, see BRP closed the China plant that was making the 25/30, the only way they can even come close to turn a profit is to produce it elsewhere, dont ask me why, im just a Boat guy. I finally received the Official press release and our New Killer BRP Rep came in today, Picture a 25 with the 115 HO complete decals, if I had a scanner Id put them up. See the walley guys were screamin for something, its features are revolutionary and its the best kicker out for what Kickers are used for. I feel that the 8/9.9/15 need to come out, rumor is Mexico for assembly, but whatever, to completely build a new line of motors in the past couple of years is a hell of a feat in itself, with economy and all, luckily BRP is so diversified its sick, world wide and in everything. I will give more details as I get them, .....Brannon
