Exhaust ?
Hey everyone quick ?
I am running a Ford 460 in a 78 Checkmate Jetmate and the exhaust 90's up and out (over transom) and the water ejects out the exhaust at the tips..... I would like to know if I have to have the water come out the tips or can I re-route out the back of the transom and not use the exhaust? I don't see why not but want to make sure of it.... Thanks
You can see it on utube for a bteer look at it

You can run them dry but remember they will heat up allot and will discolor
seen your vid and you must have logs with OT pipes then right?
It will make your exhaust louder without the water and should help power a littleLast edited by Fonz69; 01-07-2010 at 11:24 PM.

Thanks
Yeah logs with over transom exhaust...... Cool thats good to know now I know why everyone elses pipes are blue!!!!! Yeah there's also spark arrestors on mine, cause I was thinking two ways..... I could leave the water coming out the tips but just remove the spark arrestors or I could re-route the water and run them hot... This year anyway cause next year I want to re-do It all............ Thanks again for the info
