Definetly outboard, I have had I/Os and would not own another.

nothing like a progression ,i have killed my 21 superboats ,and my 16s,the 24s hold up better ,but depends on what you do ,i have done things in eddyt's 24 progression that any other boat would have broken in half, and not a strees crack!!! good luck

    Bertram65,

Ok, must be an outboard. Must be single axle trailer. 21, 22, or maybe 23 feet, got it. Now is the family "friendly" aspect a bit more important then the top speed? Understand that we are talking performance boating, but this is the next thing to decide to shorten the list!!

    Randy,
Isnt that a huge speed drop for only 3 feet of boat?

I have a 24 twister which is close to the same hall as the superboat and progression from around the same time.

The boat is a 1986 pad 24/7 with a V8 OMC on the back
