Revinrude.. I own your old Viking now. Bought it off you in 06, or atleast I'm assuming it was you. The Vindicator and the stereo antenna gave it away. I still have it and use it often up near Lk. George in NY.(Apricot)

rossi, I sold it to a guy from Sanford ME, he was going to keep the vindicator and sell the hull, sounds like you bought it from him.
Great to see it's still being enjoyed. My brother and I rigged the front seat bases, are you still able to turn the seat around?

Jim - yes, the seat bases are still in the boat and yes they do turn around. The bases, two front seats and the back bench are still as you had them but everything else I changed. Before I layed the new carpet down, I pulled the stereo out along with the speakers and filled the holes with new wood and fiberglassed it all in and replaced the stereo with a glovebox. I also took out all the fake wood look stuff in the interior and replaced it with black, replacing all the gauges at the same time for an updated look. At the same time the boat was rewired. The guy who did it made the wiring job almost stunning ! I still use the black cover that you have in that picture and bought a new trailer. The one in the pic you posted holds an alluminum boat now. The boat right from the start was/is the nicest running Viking I've ever driven.
I'm curious to know if you were the original owner and also if you did the floor replacement and transom knees. I've always admired the job that was done with that. That Vindicator looks like Mike Mongiovis (at100plus) old engine. Shemust have ripped with that motor on it.

Wow sounds like you finished where I left off, the trailer was junk, no doubt, that was next on our list.
We had the black cover made at a boat canvas place in Charlton Mass, he did a nice job on it, I only wish we had it lined.
That is Mikes Vindicator, he sold it to me and my brother (my partner on the boat) I can't say enough about Mike, he is a stand up guy,
that motor was as new when we bought it from him, better than advertised, thanks to Mike!
We put Land and Sea solid upper and lower motor mounts in it and Boysen reeds, Mike already had a nose cone with LWP on it.
It was a monster, I loved that engine!!
My brother and I did the floor and knee work, we also put in the new fuel tank and rigged the front seats, under the floor the core and stringers were good so we left them alone, we ran two strips of aluminum aprox 1/4" thick X 3" wide X boat width, left to right under the front and back of the seat bases to distribute any torque from the seats, they are glassed in and then the set base bolts go through the seat bases, floor and aluminum.
We were the third owners, a close friend of mine from Sterling Mass was the second, He did the upholstery work. I don't know the first owner but I do know the boat was bought new at Hanks Marine in Worcester (now defunct) and run on Webster lake. When we bought it, it had the original 1982 235 Evinrude on it, but she was pretty tired. Mike took it in trade from us.
If you want to PM me your address ill be happy to burn you a CD of my photos, not many, but you may like them, and send them to you.
Let me know if I can answer any more questions for you.
