    2003 Yamaha 3.1L 200 HP, what's the story

    Hi,
Sold my Triad , now I'm in the market for a fish & Ski Boat. Found a Skeeter SL 190 with a 2003 Yamaha 3.1 FI V-Max. Anybody have any thing good or bad to say about it. I am trying to do a little research before making a offer. I would hate to buy a motor the has a history of problems. Wish I could find a Skeeter with a 2.5 promax on it. That was what I had on the Triad and it was a great outboard.

They are great engines with an unbelievable amount of low end torque. Would make a great fish n ski engine Just check compression and lower unit oil like you would any other used engine.

    Brian,

Thanks for the information, says you are a supporting vender. Do you have a dealer ship in the leesville area. When we had the triad, we visited lake murray quite a bit and often took 391 from the traffic circle towards Prosperity and put in at the bridges. Or course we, ate at Shealy's BBQ and Back Porch in Prosperity. We also attended several of the boat poker runs. Do you run a preformance boat up on the lake?

We miss the triad, they are a great boat.
