What type exhaust manifolds are you running? it sounds like you may have a cracked or corroded manifold allowing water to transfer intothe exhaust port(s). I'd pull hte manifolds and have them pressure tested before you run it too much. if they are bad you can disconnect the cooling hoses from the manifolds and bypass them.
good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Aluminum
Hey
Thanks to everybodys thoughts and ideas.... I ended up getting all the water out of the cylinders and firing it up, brought it up to operating temp, drained oil.... Now I am on my 3rd oil change getting all of the water mixed oil out.... What a hard lesson learned.... and a mess....
I think I caused this problem by leaving the water on when I turned the engine off and then like 30 seconds later I tried to fire back up .... Thats when my problems all started..... I guess a main factor also that I have failed to tell everyone is that my exhaust 90's up and out so its not just straight pipes out the ass end.... That's why I beieve its all my fault.... Thanks for everyones input it all really helped out and saved the day....Craig
