    21 Skater transom tie-bars???

    Hey guys (girls)

Does anybody have a 21' Skater with transom tiebars (pics.) thru the well? My 86' has a few small stress cracks in the corners of the well. I want to get them fixed, but would also like some bars tieing the transom to stringers before I open them up again/ OR worse. Did all 21s come with a well?

Attached are pics. of race hatch I just installed. I picked it up from Jeff from Trick. Did a little sanding/glass and it looks nice. Ryan Beckley hooked me up with stickers.

Do a search Alaskstreamin (sp?) he had bought one of my old 21 White & Blue, it had tie bars due to it originally having a V8.
Someone bought it before him just can not remember his name.
Maybe they will post on here for you.
I'll see if I can find any photos to scan.

    Thanks

I had a feeling it would look just like that. If I do go this way, I know a guy what could make them.

    Thanks again

Port, They were made from 1/4" S/Steel and the rods were 3/4" fine thread rod, also S/S. You can get the threaded rod, lock nuts and washers in Copaigue on Sunrise Hwy. Trade Fair Hardware.

Scott, Nice picture! Still looks pretty clean

Port, I recommend a 15" mid with those 300. Due to the height you have to run a 20" in order to put the prop shaft in the sweet spot. The weight that high just puts alot of torque on that transom. Becareful turnning!
I'm sure Rich S can help you out

    Just my 2 cents.

That's what I heard also. They lost the cowl I believe.
When I had that boat, the 40 mph roll was uncomfortable. Felt like the hull was full of water.
