Some more timeless tunes... As You can see I like moody, dramatic music..

Some of Robert Plant's best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc-eDaEZ4LU

    CS&N - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlVNod_krsM

Maybe one of the greatest ever, purely timeless- Christopher Cross http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTQWZfi1_Bw

This one can make a river rat cry, nothing but great - Charlie Pride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdacMprd0ic <- had to correct the link

Whoa, said OLD songs. I take that as more or less the beginning rock. As shoving 60 years real fast, and remember well, the old 50's rock and roll, WAY too many to list there, and the massive old black super Blues artists, were the rest got there "roots"..and then, somewhere 1964, the Beatles. Then the Stones, Doors, SOOO many more.. BUT...all were 2-3 minutes a cut.
    Then somewhere 67?
"Inna Gadda Da Vida". Iron Butterfly.
17 minutes..(still got the Vinyl)..sucked up a whole 8 track tape damn near.
My take, it was the beginning of Hard Rock....and the then new..."drug culture"..rockin.......the best music made, not the now crotch grabbing idiots, with "Rap Crap"..

at the risk of being seen as the odd ball - I've been really getting into the old 30's - 50's swing/bop jazz with the old big bands like Count Basie, Terry Gibbs, Lionel Hampton, etc. Want to see a drummer? check out Duffy Jackson, dude is amazing. Know it's not the run of the mill classic rock stuff that others are posting here but this stuff swings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYLbrZAko7E
