    Trailer Lighting

Guys, got a new/used trailer with the family boat.... It needs help, espically in the lighting dept. Any ideas or pointers? I was just going to go to west marine and get one of those "kits" and go from their. I figured with some heat-shrink crimps and some liquid-electric-tape on top of the connectors I should be good to go?? Any brands/styles to stay away from?

Go with the led lights. They are brighter and last a lot longer.

Run a dedicated ground wire down each side of the trailer frame. Don't rely on the frame itself for your ground connections.

I vote for led too. Still looking for a kit that has harness, tail lights and side marker lights.

Don't go to West Marine. You can find a kit on the net for about half of what they charge.
