    Who has seen a reed cage like this

    I pulled this reed cage out of my 300 drag built by -----------, if you have seen a cage like this or wher it comes from wat it goes in please let me know

    I think those are probably 280-300 drag style cages,not cut much,if at all.The reeds I sent you should fit fine,pay attention lineing up on the cages for best sealing area contact,chris

    that is the stock 260-300 reed cage. same casting as the smaller ones but have been opened up at factory. they did not do a very good job holes not spaced even and offset. we have compensated for the factory flaws and the reeds will fit great slide them around to get even over lap on each opening and let it eat.

    oh yeah make sure you lap the cages well befor reed install

    Bone stock reed cage from 260-280-Drag...."Nuttin" special, there were a zillion of em installed from the factory..

    are you guys freekin blind??? there's a huge divider right down the middle of the cage. its not stock on any merc engine..

    i have never seen one before.... dont know if it would really make a difference, it might... may have been in a S3000 motor. those roundy round guys tried all kinds of stuff.

    OOPPS I didn't look at the second picture... I cannot tell if that is a shadow or a partition in the first picture. Pictures are sometimes deceiving and hard to tell whats what without having the part in my hand...

    reed cage

    i missed it too. thought it was a shadow. maybe there to smooth out turbulence as air passed into the cage?

    Glad to see i am not the only one that has never seen/heard of a divider being installed in a hi perf 2.5 cage....
    i have been helpin Ripinfool trying to dial in his STV
    We now are chasing a strange oscillation at idle
    could be an intermittent prob,idle jumps from 900rpm to 1400
    we tryed my ECU and ruled that out
    The injectors just got back from Brucato and the fuel system is new and supports 1000HP (car boat)
    reeds are new as stated already
    hang in ther Kev,we will get it
