I had to tow a 2004 durango with a blown transmission down I-95 with my honda minivan in the middle of the night when i came to emerald isle that time. her excuse was she couldnt keep up. mind you, I was towing my boat. Also I had a new 2000 RT durango. I had to go lemon law with that one. good luck

    Durango

I think sho305 used to drive a Durango. Might be worth checking with him as well.

A 360? That old stuff is still around? The 318 and 360 are good motors, suck the fuel. It should have around 260 hp, I think the 318 mag put out 235 or so. It will pull with no problem. It will have plenty of torque, and thats what you want. Good luck and don't pay to much for it.

my uncles 360/46re durango tows his 6000lb sail fish awesome and the truck is fast with the 3.92s. The 46re trans they put behind them is the weak point. He had to put a trans in it at 75k and only towed the boat 3 times when it let go driving normally around town. my 318/44re has 90k on it now and i beat it, towing all over for the last 4 yrs no issues. Truck is fun i would build a ramzilla trans for it and never worry about it.

What year is it Kevin? I had my 85 when we met on 19. My 99 360 4X4 Durango trans is acting up here and there, slow upshifting or slipping when upshifting. Haven't towed with it yet. WTF is a ramzilla trans?

A good friend of mine has a 2000 or so 360ci Durango that we replace 4 transmissions. He replaced it with a 7.3 power stroke f250 for towing. He's had no problems with the Durango after he's stopped towing with it uses it as a daily driver.
