    restoration project

I have just recently come into possession of what I believe is a magnum missile. The boat is in pretty bad shape. It has been sitting outside uncovered for about 3 years. I know the transom needs to be replaced and the floor. I haven't gotten into it yet. My question is, Is this project worth doing? If it is how difficult is it to do these things? Any info on this hull or on how to do a project like this is greatly appreciated.

This is what I just wnt through, If you like the boat, I mean really like it then YES, It will cost twice as much as you think,

Transom and floors and cores can be replaced. It takes TIMEe and PATIENCE, I have spent 10 months to whre I am at now.

My wife doesnt know me, I am always WORKING ON THE BOAT,

    So .........

    Ball is in your court.!

    Go fot it

The Magnum Missle is a neat boat and well worth doing in my opinion. They're killers with big power though and I wouldn't even think of a V6 on one, although there's been a picture of one on this site in the past with one.

I've known of a couple of em to get blown over with 1500's, so it's still a boat to be taken seriously, even with speeds in the 70's. They don't carry weight well, meaning that extra people hurt the speed considerably, which is true with most smaller full tunnels. One of my friends who had one with a 1500XS on it used to take the whole interior out when he was gonna run somebody and kneel in it hydro style. He claimed it made 3 or 4 mph difference.

Is the boat you have all wood? You think it's a MM but I thought all the missles were wood.Raceman would know. If it is fiberglass it could be a rabco hustler. They are alot alike.Does it have any ID at all?

    Lord help us.

Racemore I will have to take a better look at it, the boat has a lot of glass in it. I saw it at school last week Thursday, and was told that I could have it on Friday, It is a very cool looking boat. I would like to do this restoration and make it a center steer boat to try and balance it a little more, and put a 115 inliner on it. I'm using that because I can get it real cheap. It looks identical to the magnum missile pictures that I have seen, either way I got the boat for free, so I couldn't pass it up.
