Ron Hill 4-blade "Eagle ET" on a Vegas XT?
I just picked up a Ron Hill 28 "Eagle ET" 4-blade ET copy to play around with and test out on my boat. I've ran the 5 blade Ron Hill ET type props and they seemed to run good out of the hole, but not much top end. I'm wondering if anyone has run the Ron Hill 4-blades on the Vegas XT...and if they liked it or not. I'm hoping it will be a good lake prop to cruise around with....and maybe it might even give me a few more MPH than my DAH 27 SRX that I run for top end.
Any opinions on the Ron Hill Eagle ET props?
ThanksIan

How did this prop work out for you? Price on Ebay is pretty good.

You get what you pay for.
Get it balanced before you run it. A badly unbalanced prop can cost you a propshaft, an entire gearcase, or anything in between. Balance is reportedly hit-and-miss with these props...'89 Hydrostream Vegas XT, '90 Merc 2.4 Bridgeport PCU EFI

Check out this post I did on that prop a while back. The only thing I liked about it was that is gave me about 1mph on the top end compared to my SRX..other than that, it slipped all the time! I sold it shortly after I tested it...
