check out my chinese outboard "yamaha copy"
i got this from a guy today and it seems to be all yamaha parts.. it runs mint and so far all the yamaha stuff i looked at bolts right up... it needed a rev limiter. so i took one off another motor and guess what.. it worked. i need to find a 13 foot boat to put it on or a tunnel hull like a sst 60 or 45 just for kicks

Might be because Yamahas assembled in Europe have parts made by Selva in Italy and ... Selva and Zongshen are partners

interesting
i knew about the selva deal but i did now know they make yamaha parts... so this means its a yamaha for the most part right? i would like to put electric start on it and make it a remote... do i just get parts from a yamaha dealer? is there other motors that i can get eletric start from like a 40 or 55? thank you so much in advance
