magazine feed back
Hi, im new to this forum and i have a 79 sanger superjet. Ive been going boating since i can remember and acouple weeks ago i was at the lake without my boat. I was sitting there wishing i could just relax and read a magazine about boats like mine, but theres really nothing out there like it. So im starting a super small (8-12 page) mag about every day boaters with every day problems. what i need from you guys is feed back on it, like what would you like to see in it ect. So please be kind. Also this isnt a money making adventure. Its pretty much non profit to me im just doing it for the love of our sport. It will feature jets v drives and some outboards. let me know. thanks one more thing, would you subscibe?

HotBoat (which is out of business now) started off with smaller boats similar to like your talking about. But, in the end they ventured to the larger offshore style boats and I kinda lost interest. I think a resourceful magazine with a good tech columns and reviews on product everyday boaters use would be great. I can't bring the computer in the bathroom so that would give me something to read beside popular mechanics If you do it let me know I'll subscribe.
Look fear in the eyes and laugh!

would be nice for something geared toward's v-drive's and jet's , there are enough mags geared toward's the larger boat's . hot boat started out geared toward's the smaller hot boat's but kinda lost there way . i would subscribe to any thing that is devoted strictly to the everyday hot boat's .
i'm quite sure you would have a lot of folk's that would send you pic's and
a brief description of there ride , just everyday folks and there ride's .

HELL YEAH! Build it and they will come, keep it on the order of Popular Hot Rodding and not Hot Rod and Car Craft. You know people that save and scrimp to get what they want.
Keep it to the Jets and V-drives and I will be your first subscriber if it starts heading towards $100,000 boats and outboards I will be your first cancelation.10,000 lakes so little time

there have been a few boat magazines come and go over the years and i do admit to buying hot boat including the larry flynt version. i felt he tried to improve and did improve the magazine but his over doing it with the chicks was its demise.i also remember a cool one called trailer boats and fuzzy memories of some kind of outboard power magazine. does anyone recall other magazines gone by?
