    Yes, It's pretty clever. For extra oil addition times the computer adds together all instances of the motor running above 2000 rpm until it reaches a total of 2 hours. The only difference are the 60 degree V4 & V6 which has the 5 hours of extra oil.

    My understanding is that if any motor exceeds 5850rpm, extra oil is added to the mix to give a additional protection.

    BRP have also listed all motors "OPTIMUM RPM's" which I believe is a first. This is where you should prop your motor/boat/load combo to run at Wide Open Throttle for lowest oil/fuel consumption, minimum lugging, maximum longevity, best holeshot, acceleration & sweetest running at ALL RPMS.

    So I might be turning a bit high at 6000

    Anything over 5850 it dumps extra oil, and passing through 6100 it starts dumping fuel and cutting ignition to get the rpms down....Those numbers do vary a bit too, depending on if you are rapidly approaching 6000 or slowly creeping up to it....
