1961 mcCalloch flying scott
HELP:
I just bought a 61 flying scott that I want to restore. The hull is in great condition but the inside and motor need help. Please let me know where I can get pics, info, tech manuals, ect....

Hey, I remember seeing that boat at the NY show (top page 112)
Seeing that boat was probably what whetted my interest in fast boats all those years ago. Will be a really great project if you can finish it. Lots of luck.

Stringers
The stringers are fiberglass, I thought they wer wood also till I got a closer look. Most of the foam in between is missing and has to be replaced.

Dad had a "Flying Scott" on our boat when I was kid growing up in the 60's. Very much like that motor. The cover was red & white. About 65 horse I believe. Dad being the mechanic that he is it always ran great and that alone would amaze people because the Flying Scotts had a poor rep. He used to get parts for it from a place down around New York City called Ron Conny or something like that. Good luck!!
