    switch boxs

Does this engine have an idle stabalizer/spark advance box fitted. If so disconnect and/or discard it. This could be causing the repeated switch box failure. Also, these boxs have been known to detonate pistons through over advanceing ignition timing.Popey

Fwiw. If u replaced 3 then u not replacing them in pairs and ur chasing ur tail. Get 2 new Sierra boxes also need check conditions of wire from stator and trigger. If hard and brittle and missing pieces, should b replaced

You need to check to see if your getting any voltage to the black and yellow wires when you cycle the key switch.

Yes!!! ,anything over .4 volts on the kill circuit,at any time...on off cranking or priming can destroy the switchboxes.Brass throwoff inside the back of the keyswitch from arcing builds up over time and becomes a semi-conductor dust...worse when you add dew or rain,Chris
