oneupoffroad.com makes them but you have to buy through one of thier distrubuters. I got mine from diabloffroad.com great guy to buy from, but they aren't cheap! They have 2 sizes, I believe 11" drop and 14" what I have. If thats to big, I used to run an aluminum 10" drop that was really nice and was rated at 8 or 10,000 lbs. They make drops starting at your starderd 2" and up.

Thank you all. It's a fun rig...

Matt and Sanders Ford in North Carolina built it and put a HUGE sound system as well as five TV's in it. Quite the toy.

Here it is beside an F-250...

I use an 05 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. Heated and Air conditioned leather seats DVD etc.. Pulls really nice with the 5.4lt triton. Love the truck with 4wheel independent Suspension. I used to tow with a 90,s Suburban 454. I never should have sold that truck a few years back. It accually got 20 miles to the gal pulling or not. very powerfull truck!! I love the smooth ride of the Expadition though.

    What do I tow with?

Have a 2007 Silverado 2500EXT LS, 6 litre, 6 speed. Awesome truck for what we do. A little p/o'ed though, factory shocks were shot in less than two years, and recently had to have rear disc brakes totally replaced, caliper slides were froze, that GM did under warranty. I put Gabriel gas shocks on it, made huge difference.
I take the 5th wheel across country, but the double tow only happens once/twice a year around Wisconsin. Picture is last August arriving at the Antique Outboard National show in Tomahawk WI. Thats a 15' Viper under cover and a Butts laydown hydro on top. Cannot see the boat trailer when you're towing - so put your trust in the CB and the shadow it throws on the highway. Also have some small orange flags on each side I can see in my mirrors. Gets around 10 MPG and we run 62-65 MPH. This year hope to have our A&H hydro restoration done, then will have to add a rack to the trailer.

holy crap bernie! Thats a helluva rig to be towing with a gasser. I bet that 6 speed helps alot though. What rear end gear are you running?

When my TrailBlazer SS is out of warranty, I'm thinking of swaping to a 6L80, but with the stock 4.10s, 1st gear would be almost unusable anywhere except for the drag strip.

Whipper, Back in the 80s and early to mid 90s, the BASS guys put 300, 400 thousand miles on those burbans before they got new ones, and alot of the old ones are still running around with 5 or 600k on them now. The 454 is an excellent match for those tall gears they put in those tanks.
