    30' Activator

I was rafted up on the Egg Harbor River yesterday across from Shady River Marina and saw this boat being launched. I saw it for a brief couple of seconds a few weeks ago as it blasted by but wasn't sure what kind of boat it was. You could tell it had something big in it by the way it sounded. The boat has a lot of orange and red color to it. It's called Hellfire. Anyway we stopped the owner as he was idling by and asked him about it.

The boat is a 30' Activator with a single Mercury Racing 700 SCI in it. It's bad to the bone.

Sorry no pics. Anyone familiar with this boat?

I'm aware Activators are made in New York and somewhat familiar with them.

I was asking if anyone is familiar with that particular boat.

Jeff, thought you might know something about this one. He didn't say how fast. You might have to give him a run to find out.

By the way, do you still have those props you bought last year?

What kind of props are they and what size? I'm pretty sure you told me they were 28's.

I have 28 labbed hydromotives with solid hubs for fat shaft. Do you have fat shaft on your 225's.

The 30 is the newest model. Most are composite layup. With a stock 525 and XR they run 80-83. Angelo the owner of the company did one a few years back with JC performance 1050 and the boat ran 115+

I figured if he is running a true 700 he's got to be running low to mid nineties.

It should run that. Its also an awesome rough water boat. The 30 is basically a larger version of the 27 which has won many titles. It just hasn't been around that long.

Although Bill said he crushed him running the Ocean City inlet and his 35' Formula runs nowhere near that speed.
