Is this a 300x Reman or New from Merc block? It's black

Just want to know if this is a 300x New or Reman block. It was replaced by mercury at a dealer. I was told a 2006 block. It's all black painted as you can see. I know every 300x i've seen is the gold/alum color like my 280 was. I have noticed the 300 promax's are black and so are the 225-250 3.0L motors. I have some numbers off the block and the head.....

On port head- 812851-C16A

On i think starboard side of block- 984-9942-C16

On starboard side of block, to left/rear of the starter, stamped into block I'm pretty sure on the back/head half of block- 885-9811-C24L00

There is also a large 'HP' on the port side of block.

The motor is performing as a 300x should. And turning 6600-6700.

Any info is appreciated.

Just got off the phone with my Merc. tech, he said its a "reman",
becuase the circumstances of the previuos piston failure, i couldn't get a new one or a warranty. Also, when it comes off the reman line they paint it black.

Well, that explains it. Seems to be performing to 300x specs....ha.
