Thru the transom
What is the best way to run a cable thru the tramsom and seal off the water?

best to run the cable thru the transom above the water line if possible. have had good results using electrical water proof cord fittings, can be found at most home stores and electrical supply houses. have seen and used knurled aluminum and crome plated, 5-7.00. i think they look fine, if you want something fancier www.jetboatperformance.com has some similiar ones that are custom made and resemble earl fittings for around 25-30 i believe i have seen on their site.

Hubbell makes some nice aluminum ones. You should be able to get them through any local electrical supply house. The ones from HD and Lowes are usually zinc coated stamped steel. They don't look as nice but they will do the trick.
