    Evinrude Renegade Prop

I currently have a 24 Raker on a 1995 225 Evinrude and I'm in the high 5000s for RPMs. I'm looking at a 25 4 blade Renegade and I know you usually drop the pitch for a 4 blade but the Evinrude Parts site states to increase the pitch. Anyone have any info or experiences with the Renegade props?

I run the same props on my nitro with the 150 and I get more speed out of the renegade [25] than i do the 24 raker and only lose about 200 rpms ,i have got to run the renegade about 1/2 inch higher than the raker too.

Actually the Merc Trophy is a much better prop than the Gade. They are also more plentiful used and less expensive. The 25 Trophy is an excellent choice for any bassboat. Just a thought.

A lot of people on this site like Trophy's but I also have heard on this site and others that they throw blades. I would think that is dangerous especially if someone was skiing or something.

Tried the new 25 Raker, this prop is way above anything evinrude have had before,
    on my 225HO it is running 77.4mph @ 6000, Tempest 27 getting 75.5 @ 5900

Trophy's are fine as long as you don't surface them. You might want to look into a Fury too. It is a little faster then a tempest and the acceleration is alot better.

Oh yes that raker is a great prop. But I am running at 2.4 200 merc with a tempest 25 that has a heavy cup on edge doing 76.2 on the gps turning 6100 rpm WOT.... On a 18ft ranger bass boat!

On a Ranger bassboat a Trophy will live forever. Actually the 25 Tempest is the best prop for a T loaded Ranger.

There are 2 diffrent styles of Renagade props.
    RENAGADE BASS and RENAGADE OFFSHORE.
The Bass has a smaller hub and let's exhaust go over the hub thru the blades. The OFFSHORE is a full size hub and ALL the exhaust gos thru the inside of the hub. Iv ran both on the same boat and absolutely only use the full size OFFSHORE.
