Speed
I am not sure as stated in the other thread you have,But with a little more pump work this winter I hope to see the boat at 90MPH.The boat is a heavy lay up and rather deep.I had a 1986 mantra(gull wing)with a 502 with blower(747HP on Dyno) high 90's @ 6000RPM with an A impeller. If you want to go fast you would be happier with a hydro, flat bottom or something with a prop, but if you want a nice lake boat that you can go out in and have fun I would go with a gullwing or even a tunnel and you will be in the 80's with around 500HP. They dont really have alot of room in them and that is why I have a deeper V-bottom.So I guess is all in what you want and who will be with you when your there.
Good Luck

Completely restored 78 Sanger Super Jet with a 460 Ford big block,Weiand Tunnel Ram and Rewarder Headers. Custom MitcherT paint job to finish her off. My father owned the boat since the 1980's and I restored it for him 3 years ago. The boat was passed down to me last month when he passed away from a stroke so needless to say the boat means a great deal to me.
Here are some pics on the water and one parked next to my Sunsation 32 Dominator.

Thanks. My father absolutely loved the boat so restoring it for him was a no brainer. He had no idea that I was going to do that for him. He thought I was just gonna get it running and store it for him after it sat for about six years in the driveway under a tarp. When he was battling cancer he didn't have the strength to maintain the boat so it just sat.
Here are a few pics when I started and one finished when I unveiled it to dad for Christmas. The look on his face was priceless when we pulled the cover off and he saw his beloved Sanger in showroom condition. It was one of the only times I ever seen my father cry. He was overjoyed.

This is by far my favorite pic of my father sitting in his restored Sanger.
Also a pretty cool bow shot showing the mirror finish of the MitcherT paint job.

Hello from Canada
I am getting near the end of a ground up restoration on a 1984 Cougar MTR 21'
Here are some pics of the paint and my engine, world products 383 stroker SBC, twin turbo, twin intercooled. Also the carb will be mounted over the bellhousing between the turbos and then the scoop will feed the card the air and be over the twin intercooler. The carb is a 930 Demon marine. I had a competition Agreor jet built for it with an A/B impeller. Next will be the custom interior. Then WATER!!! And Yes that is my 88 Testarossa in the 4th picture beside my boatLast edited by brightsun; 02-08-2010 at 11:04 PM.

On the top of the scoop is a SHE DEVIL, she has horns, a tail and yellow eyes. Best resemblance I could get of my ex wife LOL

On the weekend I did a mock up of motor and components, scoop to be trimmed, positioned and brackets to be made. Velocity stack and carb spacer to be positioned before attaching scoop brackets, height of scoop above intercoolers TBD. Once I have the exhaust fabbed and mounted, I feel they need a little further thought on how to support and heat shields to protect paint at elbows and 3M clear protector on rear spoiler to stop paint damage from excess fuel droplets coming from mufflers.
Any ideas?
