Whats the difference between a 260 and a 280 and what do those numbers mean???
The only thing I know is horsepower numbers!!

difference
biggest difference is the charging systems they came with. the 260's and drags came with 16 amp systems. the 280's came with a 60 amp automotive style alternator. there were different port heights(260's are slightly higher from what i hear) and internal porting but the biggest difference is the charging systems.
