    Rochelle craft 460 heating

Hi I sold my friend a Rochelle Craft with a Jacuzzie pump and we put a 460 ford in it and it over heats so we back flushed all the lines so it is clear from the bowl to the engine but not seeming to move the watter any ideas

Water from the pump to tee then one side to a( in) manifold then out to engine (in ) and out from the thermostadt to snails or other elbowes. The other line goes the same only the other side.

Start the engine with water ,check the water moving thru the lines. Open up a discharge line to see if its pumping and be sure the theromstadt is opening. It takes lots of water
460 cannot take too much overheating or you will crystalize the bearing and rings

Sounds like the raw water pump is worn out or whatever. I am a v-drive guy, however a pump is a pump. Merely to backflush doesn't necessarly solve your problem.
    1) you need the jet drive to pump the water that goes thru the manifolds, block and risers. This water is on a open route until the water goes back to where it came from (river)

    2) If it won't do that you have blockage, the hose and fitting are only 5/8 fittings.

I understand, however the jet pump is the raw water in this instance.

yes that is why i dont understand why it seems to not be moving it through the engine.
We hooked the garden hose up and ran it water ran through the engine and out through the exhaust so it not pluged up that way
