Smartcraft Cable Question
I just found out I have the wrong cable for my 2005 250 efi. Unitl i started searching, I did not realize there were as many different cables.
My question is what is the difference the different cables for example:
84-879980T20 and
84-879981T20
and how interchangeable are these? is there a range of different cables that will work with this motor? i am just running a sc1000 tach but hope to add an analog interface and some older analog gauges down the road. thanks,
fish

different cables
The 84-879981T20 is the blue cable smartcraft data harness with one resistor. This cable provides a data link between smartcraft system canbus components.
The 84-879980T20 is the yellow cable with one resistor for DTS applications.
It contains 3 canbus-lines and provides a data link between smartcraft system canbus components on DTS applications (digital throttle and shift).
Hope this can help you, I found this information in the 2009 accessories guide.
