    Wriedt

Been looking for an old jet boat lately and have found one near me that seems to be worth looking at.

78' WRIEDT it's 18 feet and not sure which model it is.. Owner says he thinks it has a 383 chevy and it does have a berkely pump. Did the smart thing and researched the name but not much seemed to come up on them.
Owner said that the only soft spot in the floor is near the hot foot, What should I look for when I go and see/test the boat? It seems like a great deal for under 3k

Anyone else have any information on these boats and could possibly identify the motor?

I'm not 100% sure how to spell the the company's name so forgive a newbie

By the looks of the valve covers I am willing to bet its an Oldsmobile motor (455 maybe??) and not a SBC but its hard to tell I would need a bigger/better picture to tell. If it runs good and everything works under 3k doesn't seem to bad even if it does need a restore. Looks great on the outside I think. Nice looking boat.

If it's soft at the hotfoot your going to be rebuilding the floor. I'd offer less after you figure materials and time (wood glass, carpet, new seat bases, etc) don't plan on a patch, that's a full floor replacement.

Thanks for the advice, Plan on bringing it by a fiberglass shop so he can tell the guy it will need to be replaced, Hopefully I can get the price down on it.

How can I tell if the stringes are fine, the floor I could tackle but the stringers......don't want to mess with.
