don't know but they are 6 feet long and 16 inches tall and 7 inches wide at the top and 2.5 at the bottom, filler neck is 19 inches from the end, would not fit my 1972 sleekcraft rebel, to tall

why are the side tanks better?

Side tanks place the weight farther back in the boat and lighten up the bow. In my Tahiti the difference between full bow tank and just before empty is about 4-5 mph at full throttle.
(18' Tahiti ST, 350 SBC with mods to approx 320-330 hp, OMC 800)

thats good to know thanks .i just baught a 74 hondo with side tanks.455 olds with jacuzzi wj.might be able to get it out for the first time this weekend.i would like to find seatcovers like the hondo pic. above. any ideas?im in nh.
