Use LED's, they'll last you a life time and use very little power.

Yea the "cold cathode lights" are great but a little pricey. I did my bass boat completely in blue LED's because of the very low power drain and I feel that dollar for dollar LED's are a better bet (JMO). LED light output is high and when hiding them you get allot of light out of a very small strip.

You guy's seen the Ocean LED's in action the colours and the distance through water is amazing, They do draw more current that any other, my buddy put the 2010 model on his Chase 800 wow they were bright about $1000.00 US per light and they draw 7 amps each. I know they are not for almost any of the guys on this site, but it is nice to tie up to someone who has em. They make cheaper models
