rpm issue
Anybody have an Idea why my BBC 454 rpm's pulsate up and down about 1000 in the midrange. Stock motor, but just bought last year. If I give it more gas or open secondaries it goes away. Any thoughts.

As close as I can figure it is a Holley 750 with vaccumm secondaries and a electric choke. The choke seems to adjusted right. When first started this spring the bowls were dry. Don't know if due to winterization, leakdown, or evaporation. But as far as the pulsation problem it did it late last year also. Maybe fuel filter. will try this first.
