    Wide open

me and my brother decided to have a friendly boat race the other day his Procraft against my Tihiti jet boat, I killed him out of the hole and it was a close race but his topend is a little higher than mine.
This was the longest I have ever held my boat wide open. Propably 2 or 3 miles with the RPMs around 4700 thats just a guess, my tach dont like to work.
Does it harm my motor any keeping it reved for so long??
    Thanks

heres a vid from my brothers cell phone Its crappy but my you get the point you might want to turn your sound down its kida loud

    circumstances demand it sometimes

4700 rpms is very safe though in my opinion. its like 100 rpm a standard older mercruiser wot max and a couple minutes is safe 4 sure.

was that a turn to the inside across his wake to make the pass ? looked fun!!

You should be good to run 4700 rpm for a long distance. I never had a problem with that RPM.
