Edelbrock makes some matching kits cam/intake. I had a performer RPM on a 460 that worked well. If I would do it over i would go with a victor combo and have my impeller cut to match. JMO Good luck!!

have always advised the jetters to seek out the cam mfg and give them as much info on your set up as possible, hundreds of choices and thousands of variables. have always had good luck from comp and lunati and have found the best buys from doug herbert , they make the roller that we run in our drag boat, being that it is an olds i would also consult mondello as they were the gurus on the olds.

Comp Cams
Try www.compcams.com They also have a downloadable "Desktop dyno" If you will. It is a free download called "Camquest6" It will greatly aid you in your cam selections based on the components that you are running on that engine.
Check It out. It is a "cool tool" if you will.
They do custom grinds usually at the same cost as a normal grind.
If you go roller, use a synthetic blend oil. The fully synthetic is proving to be too slippery for the roller lifters actually keeping the rollers from spinning. They are dragging or sliding on the lobes therefore wiping lobes @ a premature rate.

cam
after looking at the power required graphs about jet drives im thinking im free to pick a cam that has a power curve coming in late and has lots of lope. this might be trouble with a motor not friendly with rpms .
im going for as large as my current valve springs will handle so i guess im not going to big anyways.
gonna pull my motor next weekend hopefully

In my 455 we have had the 280, sounds good but call Mondello and he will get you over a 300-310 duration with a great sound at 1200 rpms custom grind Eangle. This is about the largest cam without restuding and going solid lifter and roller. Also get a set of anti-pumpup lifters. Not much money!!
