1978 Galaxy rebuild
Well it's my 1st time doing a almost total rebuild on a boat.. So why not post the progress as I go.. To start I bought the boat off a guy from Maryland, he ran the thing in the potomac river in Md.. Ran the boat the way it was till I arrived here in Florida.. Currently the boat is in tear down replacing everything.. Stringer's, Floor, Motor ( 350sbc ) wiring, etc. Basically starting from scratch with a hull and a Je Pump.. First off I need to say a big THANK YOU to Scott at All Fiberglass Repair ( AFR ) for even allowing me the space in his shop to do this, and John and Tony who we be more or less helping me along the way.. Again thank you, I could have not met a better group of guy's to help me with this headache/project..
How I got it..

update
Progress has been kind of SLOW... But got the bulk head removed and thinking I'm going to split the boat in two pieces to removed all the rotten wood and foam from the boat.. The foam under the bow and floor is soaking wet.. Guessing about 250 to 300lbs of unwanted weight.. So it's coming out!!! Forgot the camera today..

Finally got her split apart.. Will finish cutting the stringers out and most of the grinding tomorrow.. All thats left to do is start the build process after tomorrow.. Hope to have it back together for River Ranch in November..
