The multi cop killer got a far bigger, better turn out in CA than Cosby did in Philly on 63rd street, which used to be where they stopped and went no farther west. I lived there my family left Philly in 1950.

Actually (on the language thing), even though a word or phrase doesn't sound like 'proper' english, it's often valid.

For example "Ask" vs "Ax". When someone says "I'm not going to ax you again", instead of "I'm not going to ask you again", most people think the person is illiterate or poorly spoken.

The truth is the 'ax' variation of the word ask is about 1000 years old and just as valid as many other common use english words. It came into common use via the cajuns, via the spanish, via the french, via latin. Even though it might hurt the sensibility of our ears, it's no less valid than the word 'ask'.

I saw on report on our NJ news channel about how some of the top African American ministers are going to court to ask for school choice as they see that their poloticians are just throwing $ into the system W/O any regard to the results and the inner city kids are failing at record numbers. I'm sure the DNC and the teachers UNION

will fight them all the way but I just hope the ministers fight this as much and as hard as they can. I think the problem is that if they do this that the dems will attack them and cut off some of their funding for their community programs. I've got nothing against those programs, faith based, but you can see how the dems could use them as levelage for keeping folks in line.
Oh, BTW, the inner cities pay as much as 20K per stundent for their schools, yet they have about a 65% failure rate!

Bill Cosby is a class act for sure. If the world would have more people like him to teach self empowerment, and less people like Al Sharpton preaching victimization, things would be way different. It takes some stones to do and say the stuff he does, he regularly gets hammered by the "reverends"

sorry. i may be wrong but i don't buy it. i don't for a second think that blacks are reaching back 1000 yrs for a word. the "ax" we hear today is a butchered version of "ask".
