Just Rigged our 1st 115 HO E-TEC, WOW!!!!

My Techs just repowered from a 2008 115 E-TEC to a 2009 115 H.O. E-TECH......I was pissed cause I couldn't be down south for it, they said the hit at 4500 RPMs feels like a turbo when the Exhaust Valve bypasses or opens, the Marketing guys and Engineering guys said it is the future of E-TEC and we will see this breathing technology on more motors, My Buddy who works in marketing for them and runs them on the FLW Tourney Trail said when he was testing the 130 last year on a Premier Pontoon boat, that even on that it will literally pull you back in your seat......I have a Very Good Feeling that the things used on the 115HO and 130 V4 will also debut soon on the 2.6 liter E-TEC, because as the BRP "freaks" know the current small block 200 is kind of weak.....so if we can get her up to its potential like in the past of 200+, dude that will be sick for you guys who need a Clean,Quiet, Light V6 that has the balls to propel Hydrostreams, Allisons, and Checkmates to new speeds, and give the much loved 2.5litre platform.....Also imagine Ram Air, and if it works on all Motors this Exhaust Valve Technology on the 3.4litre, can you say "300 HO E-TEC"?

    first drive

I just drove it for the first time tonight. I was skeptical that it would really be noticeable, but holy cow, when those motors hit 4500 in this twin setup, they go to 6000 rpms right now! Hard to say about any difference in top speed as we prop them for power, but I have a feeling once we put some barefooters behind it it will be a noticeable difference over the regular 115 as to how it holds top speed.

It will be interesting to see if they add this technology to the small block V6's.
Hoping to get some video of this boat as I get our fleet done and it is warmer out.
