23.5 foot aftershock jet porpoises?? Help
I have an 04 Aftershock toranado (23.5 foot) with a 496 HO, Dominator Jet/Place Diverter....I recently blueprinted the jet and added a droop snoot. Now when I activate the place diverter up the boat porpoises...it never used to. Does anyone know what will help. When I have the jet pointed all the way down (so the bow is low) it does not porpoise, but as soon as a put just a litlle angle on it, it starts too...I was wondering if I added a different intake grate or a ride plate if that would make a difference??? I know this is a big boat for a jet...im doing 65 at 5k rpm...just want to stop the poroising...any help would be awsome...thanks

I'd check the ride plate...
You did nothing else to the boat? Shift weight around etc...?
Have you still teh original snoot? What happens when you remove the droop snoot?
Check the bottom with a 4' straight edge, the hull should be dead flat (longitudinally) for that 4' in front of the transom...Last edited by speedboats; 03-07-2009 at 02:23 AM. Reason: extra question

Maybe a lesser angled snoot or just a tapered {stove Pipe} section to the Place? You may even need more set back?
