Moto GP = out.... WSB = in

Who else tries to keep up with MotoGp? Was just reading in my favorite mag "Road Racing World" that the economic crisis is hitting the teams pretty hard. Suzy has pulled out completely and it seems as if Kawi is not far behind. They also did a price comparison that the Gp teams cost 10 times more than a normal WSB team. Knew it was up there but wow...

Gist of it all for me? I was more of a fan with the 500's & 990's than the new smaller bikes. All the electronic crap almost takes the rider completely out of it anyhow = boring races. So why am I posting about this? Because its still sad to see what was once the premier class fade to nothing more than a computer chip and now the economic turn.

So, welcome World Super Bike. GO BEN SPIES

As of right now its not completely out. I meant for myself as a fan.

Val, Nicky, & Colin are secure on their rides as of now. Its Kawi that have dropped their team for the season. Now Dorma is talking of suing the two manufactuers for lack of participation. WELL, now FIM is talking of suing Dorma becuase they promised a 17 bike minimum field. How crazy is all that?

The racing is boring anywhow. I want to see them slide around the turns and get crazy when twisting the gas but now with all the electronics its all about corner speed. WSB is where the action is at. I'll keep one eye out for the stats of GP and still pull for our boy Nicky. He's looking promising on that new Ducati. Honda screwed him over his whole tenure.

Ouch.... Not sure Nicky is looking too good on the Ducati. Everybody but Stoner seems to struggle on that thing. I sure hope he doesn't pull a "Melandri" on that thing or we'll have another American to pull for in WSBK.

I still like watching the riding but I lost interest somewhat when they traded camshafts for expansion chambers.

    Yeah I know, I'm old.

Just got through watching the warm ups. Casey pulled the fastest lap again. If I can stay up for it, I might have to eat some crow and watch this one.

Well, they traded back a few years ago so you should like it again...

    Hello guys!!
So....Now I try to tell you my opinion....
I think that Moto Gp is very spectaculary and I like it very much!
But Superbike is more spectaculary...probably because pilots use commercial motos (I don't know if I write correctly).
lso,for me, is more interesting to see that can win sometimes Ducati..Sometimes Yamaha..sometimes Honda... etc.
So, Ducati is really very fast and Stoner a very good pilot! But for example) I am sad to see Kawasaky that is not very well and that now have only one pilot... I hope that what I write is clear! Ahahah!!

I think we understand Jenny. You make some good points.

Stoner won by a huge margin the first race. But we have to remember last year, he started out strong but the Yamaha rider(s) overtook him after some mistakes. Had he not made those, then he would most likely be world champion of '08.

But yes, for the record, I watched the race this week. After the first 30 seconds, it was totally boring.
