82 elimnator jet (will not get up on plain)

I have an 1982 20' eliminator jet boat hydrolic place diverter with trim tabs, the boat has a 460 ford and I cant get the thing to turn over 4200 rpm @ 64 mph. It seems like the boat will not get up on plain even with the trim tabs removed. Would a droop snoot help much. My cleanout is inside the transome and have no idea what impeller it has in it.

could have some trash as a small piece of wood in the impeller.....just a thought......need to check the loader....might be to far below or to high from the bottom....could be hurting the speed......loading to much or not enough....good luck.....

not on plane at 64 and 4200rpm???? or you saying the nose is riding alittle high?? 64 and not on plane, that thing must have hellish topend when she settles in.. Wanna know more about that setup if thats the case.. have to add to this, you sure it's running a true 4200 have seen a few tachs not reading correctly.. Not a crappy auto zone $20 tach is it?? Find it hard to believe 64 and not on plane..

The boat doesn't seem to be getting the nose up, it feels like 50% of the boat is in the water (really stuck in the water and not up on the tail) Not for sure if the tack is correct but it doesn't sound like it is rpming 2 me.

You're on plane for sure. If you want to get more of the boat out of the water, try a diverter.

    need to know what impeller?
does it have a shoe and ride plate?
    what hp?
    did it just start this?
    what type loader?
put a straight edge on bottom say last 4 ft. might have a hooked bottom
seems if pump was wore it would turn up and not pull.is this a V or tunnel?
I will say that a jet loves HP. and a must to turn good rpm and go fast.

my boat is a tunnel with like 775 hp and turns 6,200 to 6,400 the impeller
i run bites real hard it would be same as a berk A+
DROOP WILL LIFT HULL but i would think ya need a little more performance first ya need to pull bowl to see what impeller ya have first it may be to big for ya type hp.most stock 460 with small performance cam, intake and carb ive seen turns A to like 4600-4800
dont get cought up in bolt on stuff that dont work with low HP.

I do have a hydrolic place diverter, 2-12" ride plates, the motor is 460 bored 30 over, I was told it a 468 now? Horse power don't know. I had a old holley 850 that was used for for drag racing then I put a 600 elbelbrock same performance. I checked the hull with a straight edge and it has no hook. Do u mean the grate on the bottom as what type of loader? If so the grate is smooth with the bottom, nothing stickin down except the scaggs on the sides. I've had the boat for 3 years and the performance/speed/rpms have been the same since I've had it. I can't see what impeller is in it. The boat is a vee hull.

Just got off the phone will george with ars marine and he said a ride plate and droop would be money well spent with about 6-10 mph gains. He said the impeller is most likely an a
