    Anyone with Hovercraft info?

Not sure where to post this, so am trying here. I recently purchased a Scat Intruder hovercraft. Has a Rotax 503. Vessel is 17 years old, with 6 hours on the clock!! Bottom is completely unscathed..

Cleaned out the carbs (did not even dissasemble), cranked motor with wd-40 / no plugs, gave it fresh gas and squeeze bulb, and after 10 years of sitting in a dry garage, the thing fired right up! Ran for a while (double oil), temp stayed fine, very smooth runner. Lifts off easily.

What I am looking for, however, is some skirts. I Need one, should replace another, but would buy a dozen or so when I can find them. Also, some general info, I know the thing is fast and relatively dangerous. Have looked around the web, and can not find all that much information, other than videos on youtube.

I am supposed to get the owners manual, but it is out of state, and don't know when, or if, I will see it.

Anyone with info or parts information that could pass along, I would greatly appreciate it!

that was the first try, long ago... As I said, can't find much there - other than youtube links. I was hoping to find people who might have experience with these craft..

    Thank you for the sites.

The 'scat' website, while I beleive related, is not the same people. In this country, scat was manufactured in Miami, until I beleive 97, and I know the people that manufactured them are still around - just not making hovercraft. Since I am going to Miami this weekend for the boat show (and hoping to find a motor for one of my race boats), I was hoping to connect with someone there,, whether left over parts, or aftermarket, etc..

The scat site that is on the web is actually in Singapore, and while they make hovercraft, they don't have any north american contacts.

The forum sites will most likely be the best leads. I am not yet a member of any of them (will be joining!), so in interest of timing (for Miami this weekend) I figured I'd try S&F, as I know there is a good base of FL members, as well s a wide array of 'toy' enthusiasts.

    Again, I appreciate your help,
    Mike

Or course now I am remembering the lack of websites I encountered last time I made the effort. The yahoo group doesn't exist. The HCA does exist, and has current entries, but just my luck, the central FL chapter has 2 threads, the newer one has about 5 posts, running from 07 - 08..

Oh well, I didn't buy this thing because it was the most popular toy on the block,,
