but the opti beats it because of the Power to weight ratio....the Verado is a torque monster, I have graphs from Evinrude that shows the torque curve of the Pro XS, HO 250 and Verado, youd be shocked, think of a Nissan Skyline, the older one, 2.6liter Inline 6 with 2 turbos, granted were using a supercharger which is really better for torque, vs top end power from the turbo both in torque and HP....I can post some of those numbers, the book is from last year and already got yelled at for having it...

verados make more under curve torque... agreed, but as for actual peak numbers i doubt they really are enough different to a gearcase...
